Commission B Urges BUMDs in Food Sector to Optimize Online Marketing

Jakarta Council (DPRD) Commission B urged Regional-owned Enterprises (BUMD)s in food sector to optimize staple food selling through online system.

I hope BUMD in food sector can continue to develop their strategy in selling staple food

Commission B Legislator, Farazandi Fidiansyah assessed, entering online market could be a solution for BUMD to increase their income during COVID-19 pandemic.

"I hope BUMD in food sector can continue to develop their strategy in selling staple food," he conveyed, Monday (6/29).

DRD Proposes Online Bazaar to Empower UMKM

His side also suggested BUMDs in food sector such as PT. Food Station Tjipinang Jaya and PD. Dharma Jaya to learn and observe the Quality Control mechanism in online marketing.

"Because online marketing have many complaints such as slow delivery, products not in a good shape, and others," he mentioned.

Other Commission B legislator, Wita Susilowati expected, BUMDs in food sector can carry out online marketing that applies principle of partiality towards communities thus their customers will not be burdened by high shipping cost.

"We hope they can cooperate with marketplace to provide promotion program, cashback, or free shipping cost," she closed.
